Introduction

In order for core analysis to be accurate and effective, the core samples being studied must be exactly round with parallel ends that are perpendicular to the sides. Once a core sample is drilled with the OFITE Core Drill, it is then cut to size with the OFITE Core Saw. The final step in core sample preparation is grinding the faces to a smooth, polished finish with the OFITE Core Grinder.

Description

The OFITE Core Grinder features a magnetic base with a vise for holding the core sample in place. The core is fed by a precision motor against the grinding disc, which is driven by a high-speed stepping motor. Water is used to cool the surface of the core and grinding disc. Safety features include digital controls and a protective shield.

The unit comes complete with operating instructions, wiring diagrams, and spare parts. Additional spare parts are available through OFITE.
