HTHP Filter Press test cells are often used for testing drilling fluids and cements at high temperature and pressure. During testing, solid particles can clog the outlets, trapping pressure inside the cell. Opening test cells in this condition is a safety hazard for laboratory personnel.

The OFITE Test Cell Safety Clamp is designed to hold an HTHP test cell securely in place and prevent an uncontrolled pressure release. The two plates clamp the cell in place while the locking screws are removed. Pressure can then be released gradually and safely.
