the exclusive ORCADATM (OFITE Rheometer Control and Data Acquisition
System) software, the Model 1000 and 900 Viscometers can be run by a
computer novice and yet the system is versatile enough for advanced
research and demanding test parameters. This same system is
also used to upgrade pressurized high temperature rheometers, such as the
Fann®
Model 50C and its copies, to full PC Data Acquisition (DAQ) and
Control. Most of these units have been in existence for many years,
and while they still do an excellent job of testing the fluid
mechanically, the controls and DAQ systems of these units are antiquated,
making the units virtually useless in today's demanding high tech
environments. All of the electronic hardware and physical
modifications required to upgrade to full PC DAQ and Control are
included. The software package comes with the required communication
and user-friendly programs used to run the rheometer.
